DAY SHIFT: 700AM-330PM MONDAY TO FRIDAY.
Job Duties
- Develop and implement methods to maintain accurate inventory levels at the assigned facility
- Identify and optimize common inventory items among facilities
- Develop and implement innovative methods to dispose of dead or obsolete inventory items
- Work effectively and efficiently with cross-functional teams, including those from purchasing, sales and the warehouse
- Manage effectively so that the cycle counts are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Conduct or supervise audits of facility inventory on a scheduled basis
- Take on the responsibility for training employees on the process of inventory management and cycle counting
- File defective goods claims on items that are obsolete
- Instruct warehouse personnel when and where to return defective or non-stock items
- Maintain the returned goods area in an orderly fashion
- Monitor returned goods in the warehouse that have not yet been processed
- Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking
- Prepare any reports concerning inventory activities as required by the manager
- Perform all necessary system transactions in the warehouse management system
- Operate lift devices as needed
- Follow the standard practices related to food safety and food defense policies along with GMP’s and GHP standards
- Participate in training and comply with the requirements of: SQF Code, Food Safety and Quality Policy Statement, HACCP Prerequisite Programs, Food Safety Finished Product Handling, Good Manufacturing & Distribution Practices, Reporting Food Safety Incidents and related food safety and quality training
- Follow all workplace safety policies, and compliance regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key Competencies
- RF experience preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, inventory/warehouse management and distribution software
- Demonstrated success managing inventory, including auditing, forecasting and planning
- Punctual and reliable, with a proven impeccable attendance record
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Service oriented with strong customer interaction skills and commitment
- Good mathematical skills
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Proven communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail
