PETER COOPER – Director, Manufacturing & Distribution Practice

Peter has over 20 years of business operations, consulting and retained search experience.  In his early career, Peter was Vice President Operations for Henry Birks and Sons, and in the later stages he was assigned to lead a number of business restructurings providing him with a tremendous education in problem analysis and resolution.  Peter quickly determined that even the best combination of product, plant, equipment or service delivery could easily fail without the appropriate mix of the right people in the right positions.

Peter migrated to executive search by applying his management and business solutions experience, combining his needs assessment skills with the search tools required to identify and attract and match superior talent to meet his clients’ expectations.

He has conducted searches in a variety of industrial verticals including pharmaceutical, chemical, plastics, automotive, high tech and consumer goods, with the emphasis on leadership mandates in operations, sales and marketing, engineering, R&D, and supply chain management. 

Peter has served on boards and management committees in the business and volunteer sector including Henry Birks and Sons, The Canadian Opera Company, The Canadian Council of Better Business Bureaus, and a national consulting firm in the human capital management space.
