  1. Speak clearly and directly
    Your ability to communicate effectively is critical in passing your interview, you must possess the ability to speak, read and write in and you will be tested according to these requirements

  2. Do not ask questions regarding hours or salary unless you are asked; this can be done if/when the position is offered
    The purpose of attending this meeting is to get a job offer. Any questions or concerns that you may have about the position that have not been addressed prior to the interview can be discussed with Pivotal following the interview. You may send the wrong message to the interviewer by asking questions about these things.

  3. Have some knowledge about the company and their business ventures/history. Show enthusiasm for the position and the company
    Any reputable company will encourage you to do your research on them prior to meeting with them, this is where the interviewer will uncover how prepared you are for this meeting. Perusing the website is the best way to do this. Employers want to hire workers who have a certain drive to earn this position this should be evident during the interview

  4. When you are faced a with a troubleshooting question always look at the easiest solution first before getting into the more difficult material
    Sometimes the most obvious solution is the hardest to see. People will be calling you with minor problems that may sound more difficult than they are to resolve. During the interview you will be tested on your troubleshooting skills; eliminate the easy to solve issues before you start digging into the very technical and often difficult issues. I.e. – If someone is unable to print, check the physical connection first!

  5. Dress professionally
    Employers will pay close attention to a candidate’s physical appearance in order to assess their organizational skills and work habits. Dress to impress! Wear business attire (suit, or equivalent) and remember, you only get one chance to make a good first impression!

  6. Be mentally prepared
    Before you interview you will be advised on what avenues to take in order to have a successful interview, this info has been compiled based on years of experience and thousands of trials, this will only assist you in delivering a quality interview. Review all of the criteria that is outlined in the Job description and spend your time wisely in order to refresh any particular skills needed for the position you are interviewing for.
